Take nineteen people + put them into one cabin and what do you get? One crazy family vacation. For one whole week. Sound insane? Maybe. But we love being together even though it can get a little wild. The memories are worth it.
We met up in Pigeon Forge, TN last week for our annual family vacation. Lucky for us, we live in North Carolina so the drive was bearable. Unlike the 10-12 hours our Florida family had to drive (thanks for coming up, guys) - this year was the first time we've "vacationed" with a little one and let me tell you, it didn't seem like a vacation some nights. I think being in a different environment and all the stimulation from the cousins threw off Lincoln's sleep schedule but hey, we're alive and well (mostly). Our week consisted of home cooked meals, lots of Hallmark movies (am I right, ladies?), cranky babies, hiking, sugar overloads and a few sleepless nights. But we survived the crazy week and even got to share our hearts with one another after an early Thanksgiving meal. Those are the moments we'll remember.
